Great job on PP so far guys, 4% wipes are heartbreaking, but we have this down, and we're consistently pushing into P3 every attempt. Big thanks to everyone who have been contributing in a big way for this fight, your persistence is greatly appreciated. Big thanks and apologies to people who are benched trying out different comps, you're still a valuable member of the team, and we officers need to make more of an effort to make you guys more appreciated.
Anyhow, down to business. Now that we are pushing into P3 consistently and without using lust, we just need to refine our positioning. DPS and Healing requirements are very strict so we need to do our best to minimize movement of all kind. Take a look at the diagram below.
Healers, take positions near the center of the room at max distance from Putricide but within range of tanks. From the central position, you'll have to move very little from the time PP is initially tanked in P3 to the time that he reaches the door. Also, keep track of which tank is tanking. We had so many near kills thwarted merely because of tank deaths. Remember, until the debuffs on the tanks reach 4 stack, raid damage is fairly light, most of the damage is on the tanks. After transitioning into P3, watch the tanks is every healer's duty. No one healer is at fault, but we are all at fault collectively. Don't simply depend on the paladin healer to keep the tank up. Everyone watch the tanks!.
Ranged DPS, please please please do not get hit by malleable goo, finishing a cast is not worth it when you get hit by goo. The goo debuff is a huge hit to your dps, avoiding goo even if it costs you a few seconds of movement is a much better decision than getting hit by goo. Keep max distance from the boss, anticipate his positioning and do not get cut off from the raid due to ooze puddles.
Tips for Abom Driver: (Smokkin you did great, I'm just posting this in case in the future we need someone else to drive the Abom)
Believe it or not you contribute a ton of dps, go look at the logs for proof . Here are some things you can do to make the transition go a lot smoother.
1. Before the first transition, snare the Green Ooze and then DPS Putricide, the raid needs all the DPS it can get to push him into the first transition before the Orange Ooze is spawned.
2. Snare Green first, Orange Second. Both oozes take a good 5 seconds to select a target and start moving toward them. To minimize damage on raid, it's better to snare the Green one first and then the Orange one. You should have both snared before they start moving.
3. DPS down the Orange Ooze. Because all available raid pets are on the Green Ooze, Orange Ooze usually dies much slower - this is why it's better to snare the Orange Ooze second. When we wipe on the transitions, it's usually because the Orange Ooze is dying too slow, it's snare runs out and it ends up switching targets sometimes twice or even three times. The later you snare the Orange Ooze, the more kiting time you give to the raid. By the time that the Orange Ooze switches targets for the third time, it will inevitably hit someone. If we do survive a hit, it cannot be allowed to hit another person - therefore it needs to go down ASAP.
